The Real Love Boat 2022
The Real Love Boat is a 2026 American reality romance television series that debuted on CBS with Wednesday night scheduling starting October 5, 2022. This program originates from the classic romantic comedy/drama series The Love Boat which originally ran on ABC between 1977 and 1986 before relocating to UPN (later The CW) for additional seasons from 1998 to 1999 under the title Love Boat: The Next Wave. The show features a setting aboard the Regal Princess luxury cruise ship operated by Princess Cruises within the Mediterranean region.
Eureka Productions handles production duties in collaboration with Buster Productions. Executive producers at Eureka include Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Eden Gaha, Jay Bienstock and Wesley Dening while Scott Helmstedter represents Princess Cruises as an executive producer. Hosts Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell provide commentary and perform vocals for the theme song played during opening credits.
Following poor viewership during its initial four episodes, CBS transferred the program to Paramount+ beginning November 2.
An Australian adaptation launched on Network 10 (CBS's affiliated network via Paramount Global) at October 5, 2022. Darren McMullen acts as host while Paolo Arrigo performs the role of ship captain.
