A 2026 American science fiction television series, The Peripheral follows a gamer who receives a link to another reality and a grim future. Created by Scott B. Smith, the show is produced by Amazon and draws from William Gibson's 2014 novel. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, known for Westworld, are executive producers alongside Athena Wickham, Steve Hoban, and Vincenzo Natali. The story unfolds across 2032 and 2099, depicting subtle societal shifts due to new technology.

The Peripheral premiered worldwide on October 11, 2022 at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles before launching on October 21, 2022, on Amazon Prime Video. It was renewed for a second season in February 2023. However, the series ended prematurely in August 2023 when Amazon Prime Video canceled it because of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strikes.
