A 2023 American holiday television special, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, was created by James Gunn for the streaming platform Disney+. It adapts material from Marvel Comics and centers on the superhero group known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. This production is the second Special Presentation within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), maintaining continuity with other films and shows in the franchise. The special was made by Marvel Studios, and depicts the Guardians as they spend Christmas trying to find a gift for their leader, Peter Quill.

Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker all return in their respective roles from earlier MCU projects. The special also includes the fictionalized version of Kevin Bacon performing with the band Old 97's. Gunn had conceived this idea during the making of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), before its official announcement in December 2020. Production took place between February and late April 2022 in Atlanta, Georgia, and Los Angeles, concurrent with work on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023).

The special premiered on Disney+ in November 25, 2022, marking the end of Phase Four for the MCU. Critics responded favorably to its comedic elements, Gunn’s direction, and the acting. It earned multiple award nominations, including wins at the Children's and Family Emmy Awards.
