It opened in the United States on July 14, 2023 via Searchlight Pictures. Critics responded positively, and it was recognized as one of the top 10 independent films of 2023 by the National Board of Review. Galvin was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Performance at the 39th Independent Spirit Awards.
