A 2023 American coming-of-age drama film, The Line marks Ethan Berger’s first feature film as director, based on a screenplay co-written by Berger, Alex Russek, and Zack Purdo. The movie stars Alex Wolff, Lewis Pullman, Halle Bailey, Austin Abrams, Angus Cloud, Bo Mitchell, Denise Richards, Cheri Oteri, Scoot McNairy, and John Malkovich. It centers on students at Sumpter College who join the exclusive Kappa Nu Alpha fraternity, led by president Todd Stevens (Pullman). Sophomore Tom Backster (Wolff) starts to doubt their rigid traditions, clashing with his friend Mitch Miller (Mitchell) over loyalty to the organization, resulting in serious outcomes for all involved.

Filming took place primarily at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, beginning on January 12, 2022 and finishing on February 3. The film made its debut at the Tribeca Festival on June 9, 2023, followed by a U.S. theatrical release on November 8, 2024. Critics responded positively, especially praising Wolff’s acting. This was Angus Cloud’s final film released before his death occurred one month after the premiere.
