Comedy-drama

The Devil Wears Prada 2 represents a 2026 American comedy drama film directed by David Frankel and penned by Aline Brosh McKenna. As the follow-up to the 2006 motion picture The Devil Wears Prada, this installment features Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci returning in their respective roles, alongside Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and Kenneth Branagh. The narrative unfolds approximately twenty years after the initial story, focusing on Andy Sachs (Hathaway) who supports Miranda Priestly (Streep) through evolving media dynamics and corporate challenges affecting Runway magazine's future.

Although The Devil Wears Prada achieved commercial and critical acclaim, Streep and Hathaway initially expressed reluctance toward pursuing a continuation. Work on the project commenced in July 2024, with all primary performers—Streep, Hathaway, Blunt, and Tucci—agreeing to return for their parts, while Frankel and McKenna resumed their directorial and writing responsibilities respectively. Further character additions were announced during this period until November 2025. Principal shooting occurred between June and October 2025 across Manhattan and Milan, with supplementary scenes filmed in Newark, New Jersey.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 made its debut on April 20, 2026 in New York, subsequently opening in American cinemas through 20th Century Studios on May 1. The film garnered largely favorable critical reception and performed well financially, earning $693.5 million against a $100 million budget, ranking as the sixth-most profitable release of 2026.
