A 2017 American science fiction psychological horror film, Flatliners is directed by Niels Arden Oplev and written by Ben Ripley. The narrative centers on five medical students who perform experiments designed to induce near-death states. They generally noted that it mirrored issues from the first movie, particularly its inability to properly develop the compelling concept it presents.
