Not Alone represents an upcoming American animated romantic science fiction comedy directed by Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson (marking her first time behind the camera), and Jonathan del Val. The production will be handled by Universal Pictures and Illumination, featuring voice work from Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez who portray two bumbling romantics constructing the world's initial plant-powered rocket. Their journey leads them to meet three small aliens who have crash-landed on Earth, attempting to return home while avoiding an intergalactic enforcer. Additional roles include Brett Goldstein, Rob Brydon, Jamie Demetriou, Diane Morgan, Allison Janney, and Lamorne Morris.

The project debuted at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, with the creative team confirmed. Illumination will produce this original film following Migration (2023), according to Chris Meledandri, who notes this effort comes from "a homegrown directing team" based in Guillon, Dodgson, and Del Val, aiming to develop new properties rather than relying solely on familiar ones.

The theatrical release for the United States occurs on April 16, 2027 through Universal Pictures.
