Don't Breathe 2 is a 2021 American horror film that serves as the sequel to the 2016 movie of the same name. It is the second entry in the Don't Breathe franchise. The film was directed by Rodo Sayagues, who co-wrote the script with Fede Álvarez. Stephen Lang reprises his role as Norman Nordstrom, with Brendan Sexton III and Madelyn Grace appearing in supporting roles.
Following the first film's critical and commercial success, discussions about a sequel started in November 2016. At that time, Álvarez was set to direct again. However, by January 2020, the project moved forward with Sayagues taking over as director, while Lang returned to play his role. Principal photography commenced in August 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia, and concluded in October.
Don't Breathe 2 premiered in the United States on August 13, 2021 through Sony Pictures Releasing. It earned over $53 million globally and garnered mixed reviews from critics.
