The Planet Crafter 2024
The Planet Crafter is a 2024 open-world survival video game made by the French developer Miju Games. It launched initially on Windows, followed by ports to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Players control a convict who explores desolate planets and moons, collecting materials, building machines, and modifying landscapes. The game offers a large world to navigate while managing resources for survival and advancement.
The project began with two creators, later expanding to a team of seven during development. Early access started on March 24, 2022, with the full release occurring on April 10, 2024. In October 2024, Miju Games introduced the first DLC titled "Planet Humble". Later that year, "The Moons Update" was released in May 2025, adding two new celestial bodies for terraforming. An expansion called "Toxicity" followed in November 2025. In April 2026, Miju Games launched the "2.0 update", and versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S were made available in July 2026.
Critics responded positively to its calming gameplay and player freedom, although they noted limited environmental diversity and interface issues. Players generally appreciated the experience, with sales exceeding one million copies by June 2024 and reaching two million by June 2026.
