Helldivers 2 is a 2024 cooperative multiplayer third-person shooter video game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Set in the 22nd century, the game continues the story of the Helldiver Corps of Super Earth, a division of shock troops sent to fight threats against humanity and promote managed democracy. The sequel to Helldivers (2015), Helldivers 2 launched on 8 February 2024 for PlayStation 5 and Windows, followed by an Xbox Series X/S release on 26 August 2025. It achieved both critical acclaim and strong sales, surpassing 20 million units sold and generating over $700 million in revenue. Recognized as one of the top titles of 2024, the game received multiple award nominations and wins.
