Octopath Traveler II 2023
Octopath Traveler II is a 2023 role-playing video game developed by Square Enix and Acquire and published by Square Enix. It serves as a sequel to Octopath Traveler (2018) and the third installment in the series, following the prequel mobile game Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent (2020). Despite sharing the series' framework, it introduces a fresh set of characters and world distinct from earlier entries. The game launched globally in February 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Windows, marking the first time an Octopath title appeared on PlayStation systems. Versions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S became available in June 2024. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition was issued in July 2026 within Japan, concurrent with the Switch 2 version of the original game, with both titles set for worldwide release in October of that year. Octopath Traveler II garnered favorable feedback from critics.
