Children's picture book

Tori and the Muses is a children's picture book published by Penguin Workshop on March 4, 2025. It was written by American singer-songwriter and pianist Tori Amos and illustrated by Demelsa Haughton. This marked Amos's first book for young readers.

The story centers on Tori, a talented young pianist who feels blocked by her father's choice of music for an upcoming recital. When her eleven Muses appear and grant her a magical floating pink piano, she journeys through her neighborhood to find what inspires her friends.

Amos drew from her own early experiences as a pianist and her long-held belief in Muses as creative sources. A companion album titled The Music of Tori and the Muses was released digitally on February 28, 2025, just prior to the book's release.
