Famesick 2026
Famesick: A Memoir is a 2026 memoir written by American writer, director, and actress Lena Dunham. This second memoir follows 2014's Not That Kind of Girl and explores Dunham's life under public scrutiny after her semi-autobiographical television series Girls. The book addresses her health struggles, including endometriosis, Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, and addictions to opioids and benzodiazepines. It also details her connections with notable individuals such as ex-boyfriend Jack Antonoff, former collaborator Jenni Konner, and Girls co-star Adam Driver.
The memoir garnered generally favorable reviews, with critics praising Dunham's humor, writing skill, and candid approach. Some reviewers noted the book lacked self-examination or accountability for the behaviors described. After its release, Famesick reached number one on The New York Times Best Seller list.
