Teeny Ted from Turnip Town is a 2007 novel published by Robert Chaplin and recognized by Guinness World Records as the smallest printed book ever made. The book was created at the Nano Imaging Laboratory of Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with help from scientists Li Yang and Karen Kavanagh. The dimensions of the book are 0.07 mm x 0.10 mm. It contains text carved into 30 microtablets on a polished single crystalline silicon piece using a focused-gallium-ion beam with a minimum diameter of 7 nanometers. For comparison, the head of a pin measures 2 mm or 2,000,000 nanometers across.

The story was written by Malcolm Douglas Chaplin and tells of a fable about Teeny Ted winning a turnip contest at the county fair. It has its own ISBN number. Only 100 copies were made by the laboratory, and reading requires a scanning electron microscope. In December 2012, a Library Edition was released with the full title Teeny Ted from Turnip Town & the Tale of Scale: A Scientific Book of Word Puzzles. This version has an ISBN number and is labeled on its title page as the "Large Print Edition of the World's Smallest Book". Funding for this edition came from a successful Kickstarter campaign, with contributor names listed on the dust jacket. Retrieved January 31, 2013.
